On March 12, Truong Sa Border Guard Station (Khanh Hoa Border Guard) continued to organize propaganda and mobilize fishermen fishing in the Truong Sa Special Zone sea area to participate in the election on March 15, exercising the rights and obligations of citizens.
Accordingly, officers and soldiers of the unit directly went to fishing boats of fishermen anchored at ports on Truong Sa Island to propagate the meaning and importance of the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026–2031 term.

In addition to direct meetings, for fishing vessels operating at sea, Truong Sa Border Guard Station also uses radio systems to inform and guide fishermen to understand the time and location of voting, creating favorable conditions for people to enter the island to participate in elections.
Through propaganda and mobilization, during the day, the unit guided 8 fishing boats with 32 fishermen to Truong Sa Lon island, ready to participate in voting, ensuring the rights and obligations of citizens to fishermen working in distant waters.
According to the plan, along with voters nationwide, soldiers and people on Truong Sa Lon island will hold elections on March 15.
Previously, on March 8, in 20 polling stations on islands in the Truong Sa Special Zone, early elections for National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026–2031 term were held, one week earlier than the mainland as prescribed.
Actively propagating and mobilizing fishermen to participate in elections not only contributes to ensuring the rights and obligations of citizens of fishermen but also demonstrates the responsibility of the Border Guard force in accompanying and supporting people to reach out to sea and stick to the sea, contributing to preserving the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.
