On June 21, speaking with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, Ms. Dang Thi Tuoi - Chairman of My Phuong Commune People's Committee confirmed the tragic incident that occurred last night in Na Phieng village, killing 1 person.
"Due to prolonged heavy rain, the landslides caused the walls to collapse and bury the bedroom. The victim died Ms. B.T.C (born in 1976).
Ms. C. was a person from another district who came to the locality to work for hire. There is currently a plan to support and hand over the body to the family for funeral arrangements," Ms. Tuoi informed.
According to the Chairman of My Phuong Commune People's Committee, there is continuing to be heavy rain in the area. The authorities have issued warnings and moved households in the danger zone to safe places.
