Khanh Hoa - Authorities have completed blasting to destroy a large rock block of hundreds of cubic meters, blocking National Highway 27C, through Khanh Le Pass.

On the evening of December 16, Khanh Hoa Road Management and Construction Joint Stock Company confirmed that it had detonated a large rock block of about 200 cubic meters, blocking National Highway 27C, through Khanh Le Pass, Khanh Hoa Province.

This is one of the most difficult jobs during the days when landslides occurred continuously on Khanh Le pass.

Breaking this rock mass also contributes to speeding up the progress of overcoming landslides, thereby soon reconnecting the vital route from Nha Trang to Da Lat and vice versa.

Today, Khanh Hoa Road Management and Construction Joint Stock Company mobilized 25 pieces of equipment including excavators, loaders, bulldozers, transport trucks, rock drills, etc. to construct two projects from Lam Dong down and from Khanh Hoa up.

Because of the bad weather conditions, heavy rain and thick fog, the work encountered many difficulties.

With the large amount of landslides from Khanh Le Pass to Highway 27C, authorities are trying to shorten the repair time, aiming to open one lane to traffic tomorrow afternoon (December 17).
