On the afternoon of November 8, Mr. Dang Van Thanh - Head of the Economic Department of Cam Due commune - said that on the same morning, in Quoc Tuan village (under the highway bridge), people discovered a buffalo and a small crab of two households suspected of being electrocuted to death.
Representatives of the police, Cam Due commune authorities, electricity and telecommunications were present at the scene to coordinate with the buffalo owner to clarify the cause.
According to Mr. Thanh, through inspection, it was determined that the telecommunication wire had touched the power wire behind the meter to enter a infected house, causing an electric leak, causing the buffalo to be pulled to death.
After the incident, the authorities made a record, allowing the two sides to agree to handle the consequences. As a result, the telecommunications representative partially supported the damage to 2 households with dead buffaloes.
An officer of Cam Xuyen Power Team also confirmed the above incident. Through inspection, it was determined that the telecommunication cable collided with the power cable behind the meter of the people, so according to regulations, it is not the responsibility of the Electricity side.
The Telecommunications Department is responsible for negotiating and handling the consequences with households with dead buffaloes.
The incident shows that after floods, there is a potential risk of landslides and electrical leaks that are very dangerous. The representative of Cam Due commune government also noted this and requested a review of the power system and telecommunications system after floods to avoid unfortunate consequences related to leaks and power leaks.
In recent days, due to heavy rain and floods, Cam Due commune has been deeply flooded, more than 2,000 houses and many schools were flooded.
