On December 6, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Huong - Director of Dak Nong Department of Home Affairs, confirmed that the unit had just sent a document to the University of Transport regarding the authentication of the university degree of Mr. Le Thanh Chung - Deputy Director of the Management Board of Construction Investment Projects of this province.
This move is implemented according to the procedure for handling officials, the competent authority must verify at each unit. Thereby, there is an official legal basis to handle Mr. Chung's case in accordance with the law.
"The Department has sent a document to the Dak Nong Province Construction Investment Project Management Board to give its opinion on whether or not to agree to dismiss Mr. Chung. After that, the unit will send a report to the Provincial People's Committee," Ms. Huong added.
Previously, Lao Dong Newspaper reported that the Dak Nong Department of Construction had issued a document revoking the practice certificates of Mr. Le Thanh Chung - Deputy Director of the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board.
The Department of Construction revokes the certificate of construction supervision of road and bridge traffic works - grade II, valid until July 19, 2026; Construction supervision of technical infrastructure works - grade II; Management of traffic and technical infrastructure projects - grade II, valid until March 22, 2028.
The Department of Construction also revoked the above certificates issued to Mr. Chung (including certificates that expired in 2018 and 2023, respectively).
The reason for revoking Mr. Chung's construction practice certificate is that he used an illegal university degree to apply for a construction practice certificate.
On November 29, Mr. Chung submitted a resignation letter due to health reasons and having to deal with family matters.
