On August 7, Mr. Lê Ngọc Thạch – Chairman of Cam Ranh City People's Committee submitted a proposal regarding the consideration of the project to build a seawall and repair the coastal road in the area of Bình Ba Island, Cam Bình Commune.
According to the assessment of Cam Ranh City People's Committee, the northern coastal area of Bình Ba Island in Bình An Commune currently lacks a comprehensive seawall and coastal defense system, and the coastal road is prone to damage and has a significant impact on the lives of people living near the coast, as well as ensuring national defense and security.
Meanwhile, the northern coastal road of Bình Ba Island is the main transportation axis on the island.
However, the current infrastructure and structure are not capable of handling the traffic demands of the local population, as well as the transportation of goods to support the local economy, and ensuring the requirements for national defense and security.
Therefore, the project to build a seawall and repair the coastal road in the northern area of Bình Ba Island is necessary, bringing significant benefits to the economic and social development of Cam Bình Island, contributing to ensuring national defense and security, and protecting the country's sovereignty over the islands.
Based on this reality, Cam Ranh City People's Committee has submitted a proposal to the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, the Party Committee's Standing Board for consideration of the project to build a seawall and repair the coastal road in the area of Bình Ba Island, Cam Bình Commune with a total investment of over 203 billion VND.
Today, Mr. Lê Ngọc Thạch – Chairman of Cam Ranh City People's Committee submitted a proposal to the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and the Party Committee's Standing Board for consideration of the project to build a water supply system for Bình Ba Island (Cam Bình Commune, Cam Ranh City). The project has a total investment of approximately 142.5 billion VND, with a designed capacity of approximately 1,220m3/day, ensuring the supply of clean water for households on the island.
Mr. Nguyễn Ân – Chairman of Cam Bình Commune shared that if the two projects are approved and implemented in the near future, the people on the island will be extremely enthusiastic. These projects will certainly contribute to the development of the island in the future.
Regarding the project to build a seawall and coastal road, Mr. Nguyễn Ân emphasized that the project aims to ensure safety, serve the people, and meet the requirements for national defense and security on Bình Ba Island.
Notably, the project will contribute to stabilizing the lives of the people and promoting economic and social development in the region. It will also reduce the impact of natural disasters, protect the environment, ensure national defense and security, and create a foundation for the development of the coastal economy. It will also create a coastal transportation corridor to serve the management and rescue work during storms and serve the people living near the coast who combine fishing and opening up land.
