On February 18, the Department of Transport sent a report to the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province proposing to stop receiving applications for changing driving licenses without a deadline; only accept applications for changing driving licenses with a valid valid validity period of 15 days.
Previously, under the direction of the Vietnam Road Administration, the Department of Transport had worked with the Provincial Police on handing over the task of testing and issuing driving licenses.
However, the transfer of tasks, records, data, as well as facilities for state management encountered some difficulties.
In the context of a large workload, the Transport Department only has 2 personnel in charge of the testing and handover of tasks, affecting the work progress.
Meanwhile, the sudden increase in the change of driving licenses in recent times has led to overload in the Department's professional department.
From this reality, the Department of Transport reported to the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province to stop receiving applications for changing driving licenses without a deadline from today; only accept applications for changing driving licenses with a valid valid valid period of 15 days.
For the examinations in February 2025, the Department of Transport will adjust the examination plan based on the direction of the Ministry of Transport and the actual situation.
