The candle lighting ceremony to commemorate heroic martyrs was organized by the Standing Committee of Quang Ninh Provincial Youth Union in coordination with Ha Tu Ward People's Committee to celebrate the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2026).
Attending the ceremony were Mr. Vu Quyet Tien - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Ninh province; members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee; leaders of the People's Council, People's Committee, National Assembly Delegation and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Ninh province; representatives of departments, agencies, branches, unions and localities.

The program has the participation of more than 500 union members, youth, association members, officers, soldiers of the armed forces, veterans, former youth volunteers, relatives of martyrs and people in the area.

Ha Tu Ward Martyrs' Cemetery is currently the resting place of 466 martyrs.
In a solemn atmosphere, delegates offered incense, flowers and observed a minute of silence to commemorate those who sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.

After the memorial ceremony, hundreds of candles were lit by union members, youth and delegates at each martyr's grave, expressing the gratitude of today's generation to those who sacrificed for the country.
Within the framework of the program, the Standing Committee of Quang Ninh Provincial Youth Union organized the awarding of 19 portrait photos restored in the "1,000 photos of Fire Flames" Project to relatives of martyrs' families.

The candle lighting ceremony is an activity to educate revolutionary traditions, the morality of "When drinking water, remember the source", and enhance the responsibility of union members and youth in building and protecting the homeland and country.
