On January 6, information from the Department of Construction of Dak Lak province said that to serve the travel needs of people during the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year and the 2026 Spring Festival, the unit has issued a plan requiring transport businesses to proactively arrange backup vehicles, promptly relieving passengers when vehicles encounter problems or accidents on the journey.
Units must ensure sufficient drivers on routes, maintain smooth operation; strengthen inspection and handling of vehicles that do not ensure traffic safety; do not arbitrarily increase fares and transportation fees without approval from competent authorities.
The enterprise's traffic safety department must closely monitor drivers and vehicles through the journey monitoring system.
In the western area of the province, from the beginning of January 2026, bus stations and transport businesses have developed plans to serve passengers during the Tet Nguyen Dan peak season.
Vehicles and personnel are fully prepared to meet the increasing travel demand; key routes all have plans to supplement spare vehicles.
For example, Krong Ana Bus Station currently operates 13 inter-provincial routes with 35 sleeper buses, connecting to Hung Yen, Da Nang, Hue City, Quang Tri, Nha Trang, Lam Dong and Ho Chi Minh City.
To serve Tet, the station requires car owners to sign commitments not to carry more people than prescribed, maintain vehicles, and ensure safety for passengers.
Mr. Hoang Thanh - Director of the bus station said that the station considers safety a top priority. The driver and service staff are strictly controlled; 100% of drivers have periodic health check-ups and sign labor contracts.
For journeys over 300km, each car must arrange at least 2 drivers and 1 assistant driver to ensure the driver's health and maintain alertness throughout the journey.
