Recently, Mr. Lo Van Cuong - Vice Chairman of Dien Bien Provincial People's Committee - has just signed Decision No. 2146, approving the economic - technical report on investment in the construction of the Na O irrigation repair and remediation project, Linh village, Muong Pon commune.
Accordingly, the project belongs to the Agricultural and Rural Development Project, Group C, Level IV, invested by the Provincial Agricultural and Rural Development Project Management Board. The life of the main project according to the design is at least 10 years.
The project has a total investment of 5.5 billion VND. From the central budget reserve supported in Decision No. 1660/QD-TTg dated December 26, 2024 of the Prime Minister. Project implementation progress in 2025.
The project investment scale includes: Construction of a dam to collect water by tunnel with a garbage net, dam height of 5m, width of 6.5m and overflow length of 32m; main pipeline A is more than 518m long; branch canal B is more than 450m long; branch canal C is more than 220m long...
The goal of the project is to overcome the damage caused by natural disasters, promote the effectiveness of the Na O irrigation works, Linh village, Muong Pon commune, which have been built, providing irrigation water for 19 hectares of rice in 2 crops.
The Provincial People's Committee also assigned the investor to be responsible for fully absorbing the opinions of the Department of Agriculture and Environment; organize the implementation of the next steps of the project to ensure compliance with the provisions of law.
