In order to solve the chaotic situation of the electricity and telecommunications networks, Dien Bien province is focusing on deploying a campaign to renovate telecommunications cables, meter boxes and customer wiring systems on power poles.
Through review, currently on many central roads clinging to power poles, there are still tangled telecommunications cable systems. Many old and damaged cables are no longer in use or have not been recovered in time, affecting urban aesthetics and posing a potential risk of unsafe power grid corridors.
According to Dien Bien Power Company, in the campaign, the forces focused on bundling and clearing cables on 6 routes, including: Nguyen Chi Thanh, Vo Nguyen Giap, Tran Dang Ninh, Nguyen Huu Tho, Truong Chinh and Hoang Van Thai.
Technical units proceeded to recover all junk cables, attach identification tags, rearrange the power cord of the meter box and combine it with the implementation of grid renovation.

Currently, the Department of Construction is developing a plan to expand 7/5 Square from the current 16,000 m2 to 33,000 m2. The new space is oriented to be designed according to the "spiritual axis", divided into 4 functional areas to create a transition from the "Vibrant" space to the "Sheltering" and "Memories - Reality" spaces.
The architectural highlight is the symbol "Lotus Bud" rising from the mud, inside embracing a burning flame symbolizing the steadfast and indomitable will of our army and people in the Dien Bien Phu campaign. The total estimated investment for this expansion project is 300 billion VND.
Along with that, repair the yard foundation, walking paths, drainage system and add amenities to 6 parks in the center of Dien Bien province, including: A1-C4 Park, Vu A Dinh, Him Lam, Vo Thi Sau, Noong Bua and Khe Chit.
In particular, the system of historical relic hills (E1, E2, D1, D2, C1, C2) and Phieng Loi village (Dien Bien Phu ward) will be studied for planning into Hoa Ban theme parks with an area of about 24 hectares.

At the same time, the Department of Construction also developed a plan to plan 7 key roads, turning each road section into a symbolic space. The province plans to plant 3,250 new trees.
The total investment for the park renovation and urban green tree planting item is estimated at more than 91 billion VND.
The synchronous combination of the telecommunications infrastructure cleanup campaign and the expected disbursement of nearly 400 billion VND for architectural projects and urban green spaces will make an important contribution to helping Dien Bien Phu change its entire appearance.
These are practical steps towards the goal that by 2030, Dien Bien Phu will become a green, smart, modern city with a strong "Ban Flower City" identity.
