According to the decision, the Dien Bien Provincial Police Detention Center has 14 prisoners serving prison sentences who are eligible for amnesty.
This is recognition for the results of reform and good compliance with regulations and rules of prisoners in the process of education and labor reform. The process of granting amnesty is carried out strictly, cautiously, ensuring publicity, transparency, and in accordance with the law.
Also on the morning of June 1st, the Lai Chau Provincial Police Detention Center held a ceremony to announce the President's 2026 amnesty decision for 13 prisoners serving sentences who are eligible for amnesty.
The amnesty decision shows the lenient, humane, and humanitarian policy of our Party and State towards offenders who have been sentenced to a fixed-term prison sentence, have made progress in reform, and are truly repentant and remorseful for the wrongdoings they have committed.
At the same time, encourage other prisoners to continue to strictly comply with the internal regulations and rules of the prison; emulate in labor, production, and progressive reform to be released from prison soon, return to the community, and become useful people for their families and society.
