On January 21, according to Lao Dong, at the Lao Cai Provincial General Hospital construction investment project phase 2, after 4 years of construction, the project items have been completed.
Including a 5-storey block and a 9-storey block, a technical block, inpatient treatment and newly built blocks, automatic fire fighting system and many other items are almost completed.
At the construction site, many rollers, excavators and workers are working on the hospital's front yard. Others are also working on the sub-projects and interior of the building.
Traveling 60 km from Bac Ha district to the province to take care of a relative in hospital, Ms. Thao Thi Trang (residing in Bac Ha town) said that investing and expanding a large-scale upper-level hospital is very necessary. People will find it more convenient and secure when coming for medical examination.
"Lao Cai Provincial General Hospital is the last line of the province to be upgraded and expanded. The province's attention will help ensure the medical examination and treatment needs of people in the highlands, especially ethnic minorities, do not have to travel far when local facilities have met their needs. Otherwise, if there is nothing, no one will want to go to the hospital" - Ms. Trang shared.
Through research, the Lao Cai Provincial General Hospital Phase 2 project was started in December 2021 and will be implemented within 4 years. The initial total investment was 250 billion VND, but after 2 adjustments, it was increased to 380 billion VND.
The construction packages are undertaken by the Joint Venture of Duc Tuan Construction Investment Co., Ltd. - Hung Vuong High-Tech Co., Ltd. - 19-8 Construction Co., Ltd. - STE Construction and Trading Investment Joint Stock Company - Thanh Phat Construction and Trading One Member Co., Ltd.
Lao Cai Provincial General Hospital Phase 2 consists of a 9-storey and 5-storey building with a total floor area of 29,630 m2. Upon completion, the project will meet the infrastructure requirements and improve the quality of medical examination and treatment of the health system in Lao Cai.
The project is expected to be inaugurated before February 27, to celebrate the Party Congresses at all levels of Lao Cai province and the 70th anniversary of Vietnamese Doctors' Day (February 27, 1955 - February 27, 2025).
According to information from Duc Tuan Construction Investment Company Limited, although the construction process encountered certain difficulties, to date, the project has been over 90% completed.
“This is a key project of the province that requires high progress and technical requirements, so the committee has established a working group, held a progress meeting with the joint venture contractor, clearly identified the work that needs to be done during the day, the motto is no days off, working day and night.
The Board also requested contractors to be determined and make efforts to put the project into operation soon, to soon promote effectiveness in medical examination and treatment for people in the province and the region," said the leader of the Lao Cai Provincial Investment and Construction Project Management Board.
