On June 24, news from the Fire and Rescue Team, Area 7 of the Fire and Rescue Police Department said that they had coordinated with Ha Song Pha Hydropower Joint Stock Company to organize a fire fighting drill at Ha Song Pha 1 Hydropower Plant and Ha Song Pha 2 Hydropower Plant (Lam Hoa village, Lam Son commune).
According to the simulated situation, the incident occurred inside the transformer at the factory, leading to a large fire.
Immediately after detecting the incident, the grassroots fire prevention and fighting force quickly deployed initial handling measures, issued warning signals, and used on-site fire fighting equipment such as portable fire extinguishers, hoses from the wall fire hydrant system to extinguish the fire and prevent it from spreading.
However, due to the rapid development of the fire, the on-site force could not completely control it, so they immediately reported to the professional fire fighting force for support.
Upon receiving the information, the Fire and Rescue Team of Area 7 mobilized 2 fire trucks and 14 officers and soldiers to quickly arrive at the scene, deploy fire fighting formations, use water cannons to extinguish the fire, and cool down construction components and surrounding areas to limit the risk of fire spreading.
In parallel with firefighting work, grassroots fire prevention and fighting forces organized searches for victims, brought them to safe areas; and at the same time deployed property relocation to minimize possible damage.
The internship took place in accordance with the proposed plan, ensuring safety for participating forces and vehicles.
Through this activity, grassroots fire prevention and fighting and rescue forces improve their situation handling skills, master fire fighting procedures, rescue of people, rescue of property as well as the ability to coordinate between units in the process of responding to incidents.
