Full operational basis according to the urban government model

Nhon Trach Ward, Dong Nai City is located at the eastern gateway of the Ho Chi Minh City megacity; at the same time, it is a "satellite city" of Long Thanh airport, invested in modern transport infrastructure, with many opportunities to break through and develop.

Talking to a reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper on May 3, Mr. Tu Nam Thanh - Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Nhon Trach ward - said that immediately after officially becoming a ward-level administrative unit, all mechanisms for operating urban government have been urgently implemented by the ward such as: Changing seals, digital certificates and digital signatures, sets of administrative procedures, signs... helping the ward have a full basis for operating urban government.

Right on the first day when it took effect to become a ward, on April 30, the People's Council of Nhon Trach ward also held the 1st Session, Term I, term 2026 - 2031 to consider and decide on important contents related to administrative organization and consolidating the professional apparatus of the ward.

At the meeting, delegates unanimously voted to pass the Resolution on converting the names of hamlets into neighborhoods in the area. Accordingly, keeping the names of the existing 8 hamlets and implementing the conversion of the remaining 11 hamlets, ensuring compliance with the urban administrative unit model, contributing to standardizing the management system at the grassroots level.

The session also approved the Project to reorganize the Economic Department into the Economic, Infrastructure and Urban Department of the ward. According to the project, the Ward People's Committee decides the number of department leaders according to regulations; at the same time, receiving 28 civil servant positions from the current Economic Department to a new unit.

Focusing on social housing for workers

Nhon Trach ward with a population scale of 156,798 people, an area of 108.04km2, in which the migrant labor force accounts for a large proportion, showing strong attraction for population and labor.

Nhon Trach ward currently has 5 industrial parks and 1 industrial cluster, the number of temporary residents in the area is about 70,000 people. Secretary of the Party Committee of Nhon Trach ward Tu Nam Thanh said that the ward is currently focusing on planning to build social housing to help workers in the area have stable housing. In addition to 2 social housing projects being implemented, Nhon Trach has more than 50 projects with more than half being urban residential area projects. In the above projects, investors allocate 20% of land to build social housing. Therefore, Nhon Trach ward is accelerating planning work, requiring investors to quickly implement social housing projects to meet workers' needs.

Nhon Trach ward will also update and change many tasks such as expanding roads and sidewalks, increasing the rate of urban clean water use... to improve the quality of life of people; prepare land funds to build international standard schools. Currently, the ward has planned about 200ha for training centers, for large-scale universities. And, is considering establishing a training and sports complex.

Also according to the leader of Nhon Trach ward, when becoming urbanized, the criteria for cultural institutions, infrastructure, health - education will also change, which will help people enjoy more.
