According to Road Traffic Police Team No. 1 (Traffic Police Department, Lao Cai Provincial Police), the incident occurred at about 2:15 am on May 4, a landslide occurred at Km120+900, Po Si Ngai village area, Ta Phin commune, causing National Highway 4D to temporarily be unable to travel.
At the scene, a large block of rock and a large amount of soil and rock from the positive slope suddenly fell down, blocking the entire road surface, causing traffic congestion in the direction from Lao Cai ward to Sa Pa.
Upon receiving the news, the traffic police force coordinated with Ta Phin Commune Police to be present, organize scene inspection, stretch warning ropes, place dangerous signs and set up remote checkpoints in dark night conditions.

At the same time, functional forces guide vehicles to move to provincial road 155 to ensure traffic flow.
At the scene, units are mobilizing machinery, vehicles and manpower to dismantle large stone blocks, collect soil and rocks to quickly clear the route. Units are striving to basically overcome the incident this morning.
