On June 1, according to Lao Dong's source, Lang Son is accelerating investment preparation steps for the traffic route connecting the city center (old) with National Highway 1.
According to Mr. Dinh Huu Hoc, Standing Vice Chairman of Lang Son Provincial People's Committee, the direction just agreed upon by the Provincial People's Committee, the line connecting Hung Vuong road with National Highway 1 will be integrated into the Lang Son city center bypass project connecting National Highway 1 with National Highway 4B.
This is considered a solution to ensure synchronization in planning, technical infrastructure and traffic organization on the entire route.

Not only solving the traffic connection needs, the project also opens up room for new urban development in the southern area of the city.
When completed, the road will contribute to shortening travel time between the city center and National Highway 1, Bac Giang - Lang Son expressway and inter-regional traffic axes, while creating conditions for effective exploitation of land funds on both sides of the route.
According to assessments by specialized agencies, the consolidation of investment items helps reduce management focal points, limits arising procedures and creates favorable conditions in the process of mobilizing medium-term public investment capital as well as support resources from the Central Government.

This is also the basis to accelerate the progress of implementing one of the city's important transport projects in the coming period.
To ensure progress, relevant units are urgently completing dossiers to adjust investment policies.
The Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board is assigned to hand over the entire dossier to the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board to continue reviewing, updating and completing procedures according to regulations. The goal is to complete the adjustment of the investment policy in June 2026.

In parallel with that, localities with roads passing through are required to review planning, strengthen land fund management along the route to avoid land use that is not consistent with urban development orientations.
This is considered an important preparation step to effectively exploit added value from transport infrastructure after the project is completed.
Currently, Hung Vuong road is one of the important traffic axes of Lang Son province, connecting National Highway 1 with the Provincial Administrative Center and many new urban areas.
However, the ability to connect this route with foreign traffic axes is still limited.
The investment in a direct connecting route from Hung Vuong street to National Highway 1 is expected to complete the urban gateway traffic network, reduce pressure on some inner-city routes and improve connectivity with the Bac Giang - Lang Son expressway as well as key economic areas of the province.
