Hai Phong - The train compartment suddenly caught fire while moving through Ai Quoc ward, the fire burned down 2 carriages behind, causing traffic jams on National Highway 5.

On the morning of April 17, at about 10:30 am, in the area passing through Ai Quoc ward, Hai Phong city, near Phu Luong bridge, a fire occurred on the hold of a moving train.

According to initial information, when the ship was traveling in the direction of Hai Phong - Hanoi, it suddenly caught fire, flames flared up fiercely, black smoke covered the area.

People present at the scene said that the carriage that encountered the incident was an empty trailer carriage, not carrying passengers, so no casualties were recorded. However, the incident caused smoke to spread widely, affecting traffic on National Highway 5, causing local congestion.

Records at the scene show that after the fire, the two rear compartments were burned down, leaving only iron frames.

Immediately after receiving the news, the Fire and Rescue Police force quickly arrived to handle it. After about 1 hour, the fire was controlled and extinguished.

Currently, the cause of the fire is being clarified by functional agencies.
