The Standing Committee of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee has just issued a decision on changing the name of the Quang Ninh Provincial Media Center to Quang Ninh Provincial Newspaper and Radio and Television.
The functions, tasks and organization of the Quang Ninh Provincial Newspaper and Radio and Television shall comply with the regulations of the Secretariat on the functions, tasks and organization of the press and radio and television apparatus of the Party Committees of provinces and centrally run cities.
Quang Ninh Media Center is the first provincial-level media center model in the country. This center has been in operation since January 1, 2019 on the basis of merging agencies including: Quang Ninh Newspaper, Quang Ninh Radio and Television Station, Ha Long Newspaper (under the Quang Ninh Provincial Literature and Arts Association), Quang Ninh Electronic Information Portal (under the Office of the National Assembly Delegation - People's Council - Provincial People's Committee).
After the merger, Quang Ninh Media Center is under the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee.
From 22 department-level units, after the merger, the Communications Center was reduced to 14 units.
Currently, this unit maintains stable communication channels on all 4 types of newspapers, television, radio, print newspapers, and electronic newspapers, including: 2 TV channels QTV1, QTV3; 2 QNR1, QNR2 broadcasting channels; Quang Ninh daily print newspaper, Quang Ninh Week newspaper, Ha Long newspaper, Hoa Sen supplementary newspaper; Quang Ninh electronic newspaper; specialized pages, fanpages and operators of Quang Ninh Province Electronic Information Portal.
