On November 10, Vung Tau Urban and Environmental Services and Construction Joint Stock Company (V UNESCO) mobilized more than 30 workers and many vehicles to clean up a large amount of garbage that had drifted into Bai Sau beach (Vung Tau ward, Tam Thang, Ho Chi Minh City).
Previously, on the evening of November 9 and the morning of November 10, a large amount of waste, including mixed-use bottles and household waste, drifted into a beach over 3km long, affecting the beauty, people and tourists swimming in the sea. Therefore, the Center for Culture - Information - Sports and Tourism of Vung Tau ward has coordinated with businesses to collect and clean the beach.
It is estimated that during this period, hundreds of tons of garbage were dumped at Bai Sau beach. Due to the large and large amount of garbage, the unit had to hire more vehicles to quickly clean up. It is expected to take more than 2 days to clean up and collect the beach.
According to Vesco, this year the waste has continuously drifted onto the beaches in Vung Tau in large quantities, much higher than previous years in terms of both the number of batches and the number of visits. In previous years, it was usually only 3-4 times, and ended at the end of October, but this year, until November, there is still garbage dumped. It is estimated that from the beginning of 2025 to now, the unit has collected about 4,680 tons of various types of ocean waste.
