Da Nang mountainous commune urgently evacuates 26 households in landslide areas

    Da Nang - Faced with the risk of landslides and flash floods, the Nam Giang commune government has urgently evacuated 26 households with 110 people.

    On November 8, Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu - Chairman of the People's Committee of Nam Giang Commune, Da Nang City said that the households evacuated were mainly in Pa rum village (20 households), Pa Di (3 households), Cong Don (2 households) and Pring (1 household). These are areas located close to the mountainside, with a high risk of landslides during prolonged heavy rain.

    Local authorities have proactively reviewed vulnerable areas, arranged forces to be on duty 24/7 to monitor weather developments, and were ready to respond when there were emergency situations, ensuring absolute safety for people.
