On the afternoon of September 1, while patrolling National Highway 13 (Km64, Chon Thanh Ward), the working group of Road Traffic Police Team No. 3 stopped to inspect the truck with license plate 73L-22xx driven by N.V.C (38 years old, living in Ho Chi Minh City), carrying 2 other people.
After a quick check, the driver could not present the vehicle documents. In particular, the authorities discovered 2 dead pigs in the truck, weighing about 450kg, giving off a foul odor, without original documents or quarantine cards as prescribed.
At the police station, driver C confessed that the pigs had died before, of unknown origin, and were on their way to be transported for sale.
