Hanoi - Witnessing the historic parade at Ba Dinh Square on the morning of September 2, Mr. Le Binh (98 years old) could not help but be moved.

At noon on September 2, speaking with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, the representative of Mr. Le Binh's family said that he was satisfied to be able to go directly to Ba Dinh Square to watch the parade and parade to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the National Day.

When the parade passed through the stands, he held the Party flag and the Fatherland flag to wave. He was moved, filled with tears, when he heard Uncle Ho read the Declaration of Independence in Ba Dinh Square and when he heard General Secretary To Lam read a commemorative speech, the family representative said.

Having been present at Ba Dinh Square and receiving the attention and care of the Hanoi Police force, Mr. Le Binh's health was guaranteed throughout the event. He witnessed the entire historic ceremony and was very excited.

Mr. Le Binh is the character in the article: "Uncle Ho's bodyguard and a special gift on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day" in Lao Dong Newspaper and many articles in press agencies in recent days.

Mr. Le Binh was born in 1927, in Thanh Chuong (Nghe An), and has been attached to the Revolution for the rest of his life.

In 1945, he participated in taking power in his hometown of Qingchang, Nghe An from the Japanese and French. Four years later, he volunteered to join the National Guard, becoming a soldier of the 57th Regiment, 304th Division.

After that, the soldier from Nghe An participated in the Dien Bien Phu liberation campaign (in 1954). In October 1954, he and his unit returned to liberate and take over the capital.

A year later, Mr. Binh was selected to become a soldier of the 600th Regiment, the Coast Guard Command, the Ministry of Public Security, to protect the Party and President Ho Chi Minh.

Mr. Le Binh has many years of experience as a bodyguard for President Ho Chi Minh.

In 1958, Mr. Le Binh was awarded the First Class Victory Medal by General Vo Nguyen Giap.

In March 6, he was awarded the Third Class Medal of Honor by President Ho Chi Minh for his achievements in serving in the Vietnam People's Army.

In 1985, he was awarded the First Class Resistance Medal.

Mr. Le Ngoc Thuong, Mr. Le Binh's eldest son, said that for the past few months, he has been looking forward to directly watching the parade and march at Ba Dinh Square.

"My whole life has been attached to the revolution, so this parade and parade, my father did not want to miss. In recent days, he has always sat in front of TV watching programs related to parades, counting the days to the grand festival," said Mr. Thuong.

Although worried about his health, his children and grandchildren prepared together for him to make a wish.

A month ago, Mr. Le Ha - Mr. Le Binh's second son took his father to see a doctor and consult a health consultant to prepare carefully.

After careful preparation, at 4:00 a.m. on August 30, Mr. Le Binh was taken by his children and grandchildren to the general parade and parade.

The image of a 98-year-old man with white hair watching a parade was reported by press agencies, moving many people.

On August 31, Mr. Binh received an invitation from the General Secretary's Office to attend the September 2 grand ceremony at Ba Dinh Square.

Sharing with reporters on the afternoon of August 31, Mr. Binh said that at the age of 98, perhaps this is the last opportunity for him to witness a large-scale parade, a historic moment of the country.
