While many people are resting on the occasion of National Day 2.9, on the rugged mountain slopes and harsh terrain, the construction unit of the 500kV Lao Cai - Vinh Yen transmission line project is still working busily
The most difficult and complicated construction locations in the mountainous province of Lao Cai are VT04 pillars, workers and engineers are assembling the final steel bars to complete the pillar body and preparing specialized equipment and means to be ready for cable stretching and pulling.

The service road from the foot of the hill to the construction site is deeply repeated with the chain reaction of excavators and cranes. Previously, workers had to use 2 excavators to "pull" the 120-ton crane down the slope to the construction site.
They crossed forests and mountains to transport steel parts and electric poles to each foundation location, and erected poles in the middle of the high mountains. The trucks were slowly "pulling up the slope" to bring materials to the right construction site.

At the locations of poles from 100 to 113, in recent days, machinery has been mobilized to support workers in pulling the ropes.
Each coil of electric wire is more than 2km long, weighing nearly 5 tons, if the wire is not spread well, leaving it crossed together will cost the whole day to remove. To stretch ropes and hang ropes to the top of a pole, it requires experienced people and the use of a winch.
Spreading 500kV wires and pulling them across rivers and mountains is a difficult period for the electricity industry, this job requires workers to be both healthy and resilient and have experience to do it, said Mr. Vu Quang Chien (Lam Dong power transmission team, Power transmission Company 3).

Mr. Nguyen Duy Hung - Director of Hung Phu Thinh Power Construction Company said that contractors are currently mobilizing maximum forces, focusing on completing the installation of poles while the power transmission unit is transporting wires and cables to the locations.
As soon as the pole erection is completed, the construction unit will coordinate with the army to run ropes connecting the poles, expected to be completed in the next 10 days.
"On holidays, we also miss home very much, but because we know that work is urgent, everyone encourages each other to try. I just hope to complete the power on schedule, that is also my joy," said Mr. Hung.

Speaking to Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Do Quang Khai, Deputy Director of the Power 1 Project Management Board and Director of the Lao Cai - Vinh Yen 500kV Line Project Management Board, said that during the September 2 National Day holiday, construction units will still increase maximum machinery and human resources to complete the final items.
"The entire route is working in a spirit of water retreat. Every day, construction teams and units try to overcome difficulties to complete the project as soon as possible" - Mr. Do Quang Khai emphasized.
The 500kV Lao Cai - Vinh Yen transmission line project is invested by Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) with a total investment of more than VND 7,410 billion, a length of 230km
This is a national key energy project, of great significance in ensuring the country's energy security. When completed, the project will contribute to bringing electricity from major energy centers in the Northwest region into the national transmission system, strengthening regional connectivity, and ensuring energy security for the entire North.
