On June 30, Dong Nai City started the component project 1-2: Compensation, support, resettlement and construction of service roads and side roads on the city's territory under the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 4 Construction Investment Project, responding to the 500-day and night special emulation drive "Solidarity - Discipline - Efficiency - Breakthrough, building Dong Nai to develop civilized and modern".

The Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 4 project section passing through Dong Nai city has a length of more than 46km; the starting point of the project is at Km18+480 (Xuan Duong commune, Dong Nai city), connecting to the ending point of component project 2-1; the ending point of the project is at Km64+630 (Thuong Tan commune, Ho Chi Minh City).
According to the Dong Nai City Construction Investment Project Management Board, after starting the component project 1-2, the unit will continue to implement procedures to strive to start the component project 2-2, building the expressway section from Chau Duc bridge to Thu Bien bridge (including Thu Bien bridge) in September 2026.
Speaking at the ceremony, Standing Vice Chairman of Dong Nai City People's Committee Nguyen Kim Long assessed: Ring Road 4 HCMC is one of the important national transport infrastructure projects, connecting the Southeast region with the Southwest region and the Central Highlands; connecting industrial parks, urban areas, seaports, and airports; creating new development momentum for the southern key economic region.
For Dong Nai city, the project is a driving force to expand development space, restructure the urban system, promote industrial, logistics, trade and service development; at the same time, create conditions to effectively exploit Long Thanh International Airport, seaport system and inter-regional transport network.
Component project 1-2 being started is one of the foundational projects to deploy the entire Ring Road 4 in Dong Nai.
The Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 4 project has a total length of about 207 km, passing through Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai and Tay Ninh.
On the same day, June 30, the City People's Committee started the Project to Invest in the construction of Nguyen Huu Canh Avenue (section from National Highway 51 to Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway).

The Nguyen Huu Canh Avenue Investment Project is about 15.5km long. The starting point of the route intersects with National Highway 51, belonging to Long Hung ward. The ending point intersects with the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway belonging to An Phuoc commune. The scale of the cross-section investment is according to the plan with a road boundary of 60m. In which, the section from Vam Cai Sut bridge to the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway is about 7.5km long, investing in a new section according to the plan.
The project is implemented according to the public-private partnership PPP method, build-transfer (BT) contract type. The contract signing agency is the Dong Nai City Construction Investment Project Management Board, and the investor is Donacoop Infrastructure Investment Joint Stock Company.
Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of Dong Nai City People's Committee Nguyen Van Ut emphasized: The Nguyen Huu Canh Avenue Construction Investment Project is of great significance, contributing to completing the traffic route from National Highway 51 to the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway. From there, forming a new connecting route between Dong Nai city and Ho Chi Minh City reduces pressure on National Highway 51.
This is also a highway promoting the formation and development of urban areas along the Dong Nai River.
