On June 30, Dong Nai City People's Committee held a groundbreaking ceremony for Component Project 1: Investment in construction of the section from Ma Da bridge to Ba Hao intersection using public-private partnership method under the project to invest in the construction of a connecting road from Ma Da bridge to Ring Road 4 of Ho Chi Minh City (Tri An ward, Dong Nai City).
This is 1 of 3 key transport projects started by Dong Nai City on June 30, responding to the special 500-day and night emulation drive "Solidarity - discipline - efficiency - breakthrough" according to Resolution 05-NQ/TU dated May 1, 2026 of the City Party Committee Executive Committee.
Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Tue, Deputy General Director of THACO Group, General Director of Dai Quang Minh Real Estate Investment Joint Stock Company said: The project has a total length of about 13 km, designed according to the elevated road plan, overpass structure, with a scale of 8 lanes, total investment of about 17,000 billion VND; expected to be completed in 18 months.

In particular, the route passes through the Dong Nai Nature and Culture Reserve, which belongs to the core area of the Dong Nai World Biosphere Reserve recognized by UNESCO in 2011 and has been recognized as the ASEAN Heritage Park in 2025.
With a high sense of responsibility for conservation, immediately after being approved for investment policy, the investor approached the project with a cautious and responsible spirit; absorbed opinions from experts and scientists in the field of biodiversity conservation, management agencies, research institutes, and universities to serve as a basis for selecting the most optimal design solution for the project.
On that basis, the project proposes a design solution in the form of an unroofed rampart elevated bridge, each consisting of 6 spans of 240m long, with an elevation 9 to 12 meters higher than the natural terrain. This solution aims to create a clear ecological corridor under the project, ensuring the safe movement of elephants and wild animals, while enhancing green space and maintaining the recovery and development capacity of the natural vegetation below.
According to Mr. Tue, this is also the first project in Vietnam to apply the technology of designing and constructing balanced cantilever casting of each beam segment to help reduce material consumption, reduce carbon emissions, meet green building standards, and minimize impact on the ecosystem of the Nature Reserve.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Mr. Ho Van Ha, Vice Chairman of Dong Nai City People's Committee, said: In addition to Component Project 1 - Investment in construction of the section from Ma Da bridge to Ba Hao intersection, today (June 30), Dong Nai City also organized the simultaneous groundbreaking ceremony for 2 other important transport projects: Component Project 2 - Investment in construction of Nguyen Huu Canh Avenue and Component Project on Compensation, Support, Resettlement and Construction of service roads in Dong Nai area under the Ring Road 4 project of Ho Chi Minh City. The three projects have a total length of about 122km, land use scale of about 712ha, and total investment of about 43. 475 billion VND.

The road connecting from Ma Da bridge to Ring Road 4 of Ho Chi Minh City is completed, this chain of projects will create a vital traffic route, both ensuring direct traffic connection between the North and South of the city, and creating a complete inter-regional traffic axis, becoming the shortest and fastest road to connect the Central Highlands provinces with Dong Nai City, directly to Long Thanh airport and Cai Mep - Thi Vai deep-water port cluster.

Mr. Ho Van Ha requested the City Project Management Board and investors and contractors to proactively remove difficulties and obstacles arising during the project implementation process. For localities, the Land Fund Development Center should focus on effectively implementing compensation, support, resettlement, and site clearance for the remaining area of the project; ensuring publicity, transparency, compliance with legal regulations, and creating consensus among people and the community.
