Dong Nai implements resolution to build a 46km long ring road connecting Ho Chi Minh City

Dong Nai - The Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 4 project section passing through the province is about 46km long, according to the plan to start the first component project before June 30, 2026.

On February 9, the Provincial People's Committee just issued a decision to implement the Resolution of the Provincial People's Council on supplementing the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 4 Construction Investment Project into the list of projects under the 2026 Dong Nai province public investment plan.

The Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Finance to advise and mobilize unallocated capital sources to ensure capital is ready to be allocated for the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 4 Construction Investment Project in 2026 according to the project implementation schedule.

According to the plan, Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee assigned the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board to organize the preparation, appraisal, and decision approval of the component project of Ring Road 4 HCMC and carry out the next tasks to start construction before June 30, 2026 (for component projects invested in the form of public investment).

For component projects implemented according to the public-private partnership method, organize the preparation, appraisal, evaluation, decision approval of component projects and select investors to complete before June 30, 2026; carry out the next tasks to start construction in the fourth quarter of 2026.

According to the People's Committee of Dong Nai province, the project strives to be completed in 2028 and put into operation in 2029.

The Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 4 project has a planned route length of more than 159km, passing through the provinces of: Dong Nai, Tay Ninh and Ho Chi Minh City. In which, the section passing through Dong Nai province is about 46km long (including Thu Bien bridge).

Component project 1-2: Compensation, support, resettlement and construction of service roads and side roads, in Dong Nai province, with a total investment of more than 10,000 billion VND from local budget capital.

Component project 2-2: Construction of the expressway section from Chau Duc bridge to Thu Bien bridge (including Thu Bien bridge), according to public-private partnership (PPP) method, with a total investment of more than 16,200 billion VND. Of which, the local budget allocates capital of more than 4,000 billion VND and investor capital of more than 12,200 billion VND.

In phase 1, the road is invested in construction with a scale of 4 lanes, road speed of 100km/h.
