On July 19, according to information from the Dong Nai City Land Fund Development Center, the project to build the North - South expressway in the West section Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh has cleared 772.6 ha/916.27 ha, reaching 84.3%.
Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh Expressway passes through 10 communes and wards of Dong Nai city including: Tho Son, Bu Dang, Phuoc Son, Nghia Trung, Dong Tam, Tan Loi, Binh Phuoc, Dong Xoai, Nha Bich and Chon Thanh.
The North-South Expressway in the West, Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh section, belongs to a key national transport project, connecting the Central Highlands with the Southeast region and Ho Chi Minh City, including 5 component projects.
In which, Dong Nai city is the competent authority to implement 3 component projects including: Component Project 1, investment in highway construction; Component Project 3, investment in construction of service roads and overpasses across Dong Nai city and Component Project 5, compensation, support, and resettlement section through Dong Nai city.
Currently, these component projects are being accelerated.
Component project 1 invests in the construction of the expressway phase 1 with a scale of 4 complete lanes, a roadbed width of 24.75m, especially the section through Binh Phuoc ward and Dong Xoai ward is 25.5m wide. The entire route is 124.13km long, including the section through Dong Nai city 101.03km long and Lam Dong province 23.1km long.
Currently, Dong Nai city is implementing compensation and site clearance for 319 projects and is coordinating with units to develop investment projects for 28 projects.
