On July 18, Major General Tran Chi Tam - Deputy Political Commissar, Head of Steering Committee 515 Military Region 7 - and the working delegation visited, inspected and deployed a plan to verify, search for, and repatriate martyrs' remains in the Minh Duc commune area, Dong Nai City.

The working delegation directly went to the area with martyrs' remains to offer incense, inspect artifacts discovered during the digging process; and at the same time, gave gifts to encourage officers and soldiers of Team K72, Dong Nai City Military Command who are on duty.

According to reports, after many days of surveying and searching, Team K72 discovered many artifacts at the mass grave of 4 martyrs including AK rifles, 6 pens (including 1 ink pen, 4 ballpoint pens, 1 pencil), 2 ink cans, 4 pairs of sandals, 4 jackets, 1 piece of belt... In particular, an ink pen is still quite clearly engraved with a pair of doves and the words "Tien Quy".
Continuing to expand the search, Team K72 continued to discover more artifacts of martyrs including AK rifles, many pieces of army tanks, ammunition and some pieces suspected of being bones.

Previously, from July 14, implementing the plan of the Military Command of Dong Nai City, Team K72 continued to perform the task of verifying, searching for, and repatriating martyrs' remains in assigned areas in the country.
As of July 17, the Team has searched in Minh Duc commune, Dong Nai city for many suspected artifacts of martyrs who sacrificed in the ambush to destroy enemy tanks and armored vehicles on National Highway 13 in the period 1967-1969.
The team is continuing to survey and verify to expand the search for surrounding areas.
