It is forecasted that in the next 24-48 hours, the continental cold high pressure will strengthen strongly in our country, causing the Northeast wind to operate at medium to strong intensity in the Southern seas.
At the upper level, the subtropical high pressure with an axis through the Central Central region will remain stable, while the East wind disturbance will continue to operate well in the South.
In the next 3-10 days, the continental cold high pressure will tend to move to the East and gradually weaken; by December 17-18, it will be weakly strengthened in the direction of the East. The high-altitude East wind disturbance will temporarily weaken but is expected to become active again around December 16-17.
The subtropical high pressure will gradually lower its axis to the South and tend to weaken, gradually retreating to the East on December 17-18. The Northeast wind will be strong on December 13-16 and then gradually decrease.
With the above developments, the weather in the South will remain dry, with reduced humidity; some days will feel cold at night and early morning, and sunny during the day, easily affecting health.
Regarding high tides, the highest water level of the day on the Saigon River will continue to decrease slowly in the coming days. The peak tide at Phu An and Nha Be stations is expected to remain at or above alert level 1 until December 15. Thu Dau Mot station alone still recorded high water levels, at or below alert level 3.
