In the next 24-48 hours, the continental cold high pressure tends to weaken but will be strengthened again on the night of December 12 and 13. The equatorial low pressure trough with an axis of 5-8 degrees North latitude will gradually move south, while the Northeast wind will maintain medium to strong intensity over the Southern seas.
At the upper level, the subtropical high pressure with an axis through the Central Central region will maintain stable intensity and from December 13 it will begin to weaken, gradually retreat to the East; the easterly wind disturbance in the Southern region will operate weakly.
In the next 3-10 days, the continental cold high pressure will continue to strengthen to the South. The low pressure trough with an axis of about 4-7 degrees North latitude and disturbances in the high-altitude East wind zone will weaken. In the southern seas, the Northeast wind gradually strengthens again; at the same time, the subtropical high pressure lowers its axis to the South through the South Central region and maintains a stable intensity.
Due to the impact of the above weather conditions, the Southern region will have scattered showers and thunderstorms; the Western region will have moderate rain, locally heavy to very heavy rain with thunderstorms. The weather is generally dry, humidity decreases; the night and early morning can be cold, the day is sunny, affecting health.
Regarding high tides, the highest water levels of the day at stations on the Saigon River will continue to decrease in the coming days. By December 15, the peak tide in Phu An and Nha Be was approximately at alert level I, while Thu Dau Mot station remained at a high level, near alert level II.
