At around 9:30 p.m. on June 18, when the train was running through Tran Phu Street, many tourists quickly took out their phones to record the image of the train, the cheers echoed throughout the street corner.
According to records, most visitors to the street are foreigners, traveling freely and not knowing that the train street is a prohibited area.
A Thai tourist said that this neighborhood is very famous with foreign visitors. She once saw a neighborhood photo on YouTube and wanted to check-in but was surprised to see a fence.
"I think this may be an interesting experience, but the neighborhood doesn't seem as beautiful as it is online," the female tourist said.


The issue of banning or developing a railway coffee street has been controversial for a long time. Many tourism experts commented that the street has great potential to attract international visitors, but there is no denying the risk of accidents if visitors lose control and lack care when trains pass.
In March, the Hanoi Department of Tourism sent an official dispatch to businesses providing travel services and transporting tourists, requesting that they not introduce or organize tours to bring tourists to the train street area.
These businesses are also required to propagate and raise awareness among employees about the risk of traffic accidents that may occur when customers come to the above area.
In fact, although ban signs and barriers have been erected in many places, this area is still crowded with visitors, causing insecurity and insecurity in the area.
