On the morning of March 10, at the 43rd session, the National Assembly Standing Committee gave its opinion on the Draft Law on Railway (amended).
Presenting the submission, Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Danh Huy said that the draft revised law has removed the regulation of 20% of the number of administrative procedures and 33% of business conditions compared to the current law, meeting the requirements of simplification, reduction of administrative procedures and business conditions.

This amendment also adds a list of railway industrial services and goods assigned to or ordered; criteria for selecting organizations, state-owned enterprises assigned to or organizations, Vietnamese enterprises " Ordered"... Because investment in railway industry development requires a large amount of investment capital, the addition of this regulation will ensure the output market for pioneering enterprises to feel secure in investing in developing the domestic railway industry...
Discussing at the meeting, Chairman of the National Assembly's Delegation Work Committee Nguyen Thanh Hai said that Clause 2, Article 8 of the draft Law stipulates the prohibition of acts of "Infringement, occupation of railway traffic safety corridors, railway protection scope"

Citing the fact that existing projects such as "isessional coffee street" (located on the border of Dien Bien ward, Ba Dinh district; Cua Nam ward, Hang Bong, Hoan Kiem district) are very bustling in service and tourism business, Ms. Nguyen Thanh Hai said: "There must be a huge source of money to relocate households out of the railway safety corridor".
In addition, the Chairman of the Delegation Work Committee also cited the reality of residential areas along Giai Phong Street (Hanoi), townhouses next to the railway.
"The law strictly prohibits encroachment and occupation of railway traffic safety corridors, but for existing works, I suggest considering funding to create resettlement areas for these households" - Ms. Nguyen Thanh Hai raised the issue.
