On June 25, the Department of Construction of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province said that it had received a document sent by the Department of Construction of Ho Chi Minh City to agencies and units, requesting information on the number of cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers who need to use shuttle vehicles. This is to proactively coordinate with transport units to meet the travel needs between Ho Chi Minh City and Ba Ria - Vung Tau.
Previously, the provincial Department of Construction conducted an online survey, thereby providing information on the operation of the pick-up and drop-off route, and surveying the needs of cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers who need shuttle buses from Ba Ria - Vung Tau to Ho Chi Minh City, and vice versa for work.
In particular, people from Ba Ria - Vung Tau to work in Ho Chi Minh City will travel from the current Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Administrative Center, to National Highway 51, to Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway, Mai Chi Tho, Ky Con, Tran Hung Dao, Nguyen Thai Hoc, Le Lai, Saigon Bus Station.
In the afternoon from Ho Chi Minh City to Ba Ria - Vung Tau, you will travel from Saigon Bus Station to Pham Ngu Lao, Yersin, Ky Con, Saigon River tunnel, Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway, National Highway 51, then to the Provincial Administrative Center.
The actual distance is about 77km, estimated to travel in 130 minutes (2:10 minutes). There will be about 6 trips departing each day from Ba Ria - Vung Tau to Ho Chi Minh City at 5:10, 5:15, 5:20, 5,30, 11:00, and 17:15. And 6 trips from Ho Chi Minh City to Ba Ria - Vung Tau at the following times: 5:15, 11:00, 17:10 (2 trips), 17:30, 17:40.
On the weekend, there will be 2 trips departing each day in Ba Ria - Vung Tau (at 6:10 and 6:15); 2 trips departing in Ho Chi Minh City (at 5:40 and 5:50 p.m.). The expected implementation period is from July 2025 to the end of December 2025.
Through an online survey, 485 responses were received from Ba Ria - Vung Tau. Of which, 24 opinions do not require the use of pick-up and drop-off vehicles. Of the remaining 461 opinions, 320 opinions need to be picked up and dropped off daily, and 141 opinions need to be picked up and dropped off on weekends.
