On July 1, leaders of Phong Thai Ward People's Committee (Hue City) confirmed that a drowning incident had occurred in Alba Thanh Tan Mineral Spring Resort, killing 2 children.
According to initial information, 2 children, both 5 years old, from Quang Tri, were found drowning at the resort. Although they were taken to the hospital for emergency treatment, both victims did not survive.
After the incident, representatives of Alba Thanh Tan Mineral Spring Resort visited, encouraged and shared the loss with the families of the victims.
Leaders of Phong Thai Ward People's Committee said that the cause of the drowning is being investigated and clarified by functional agencies.
