On June 27, leaders of Dak Mil Commune People's Committee (Lam Dong) said that a drowning incident had just occurred in the area, killing 2 children.
Previously, at about 2 pm on June 26, Ms. H.T. S (residing in hamlet 7, Dak Mil commune) did not see her two grandchildren H.L. G. B (8 years old) and H. H.P (7 years old) at home, so she organized a search.
At about 4 pm on the same day, in the self-dug pond area about 200m from the house, people discovered two pairs of sandals on the bank, so they suspected something was wrong and organized a search.
About 30 minutes later, people successively found the bodies of the two brothers in the pond, then reported to the local authorities.
According to Dak Mil Commune Police, initial verification results showed that during swimming in the pond, the two brothers unfortunately drowned, leading to death.
Through examination, functional agencies did not detect any abnormal signs, and there were no signs of external force impact on the bodies of the two victims.
After completing the procedures, functional agencies handed over the bodies of the two victims to their families for burial according to local customs.
It is known that the victim's family is in difficult circumstances.
After the painful incident occurred, the government and local organizations came to visit, share condolences and provide partial financial support to help the family.
