Determination to "just work, no backtracking" On August 29, 2024, the 500kV Line 3 Quang Trach (Quang Binh) - Pho Noi (Hung Yen) project was officially inaugurated after more than 6 months of rapid construction. During the project's construction, worries and concerns about progress were pushed back, replaced by the spirit of "eating quickly, sleeping urgently", "3 shifts, 4 shifts", "just work, no backtracking" in accordance with the direction of the Prime Minister.
Back in early 2024, the Lao Dong Newspaper's reporters traveled along the 500kV line 3 from location 201 Chau Son commune, Quynh Phu district (Thai Binh province) to construction sites in Nam Dinh, Hung Yen, Thanh Hoa, Ha Tinh, and Quang Binh provinces.
At that time, the construction site was installing excavation and foundation casting items - the first items of the 500kV line project.However, aware that this was a national key project, all engineers and workers worked enthusiastically, ready to celebrate Tet at the construction site, ensuring the progress of the entire project.
"When participating in the 500kV line 3 project, we thoroughly instilled in all officers and employees in the company, from the office to the production unit, the policy of working through Tet, working in 3 shifts, 4 shifts, eating and sleeping quickly" - Mr. Bui Quang Canh - Director of Power Construction and Installation Company 4 (the construction unit) - told Lao Dong.
The leader of the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT) said that during the construction process, the construction site encountered many difficulties and challenges that seemed impossible to overcome, but in order to complete the project on schedule, EVN and EVNNPT coordinated with contractors to focus on human resources and construction machinery to immediately implement the construction according to the direction of the Prime Minister.
As a result, after more than 6 months of construction, the 500kV Nam Dinh I - Thanh Hoa transmission line project and the synchronous projects of the 500kV Thanh Hoa transformer station were energized on June 30, 2024.The two 500kV Nam Dinh I - Pho Noi and Quynh Luu - Thanh Hoa transmission line projects were energized on August 19, 2024 and the last project, the 500kV Quang Trach - Quynh Luu transmission line, was energized on August 27, 2024.
Miracle of the electricity industry, spreading the spirit of circuit 3 Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Thai Son - Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Energy Association - used the word "miracle" to talk about the progress of this 500kV line.
Mr. Son said that if the 500kV line 1 was implemented with the spirit of daring to do and taking responsibility, the 500kV line 2 with the spirit of promoting internal strength and demonstrating national self-reliance, then the 500kV line 3 project was implemented in the spirit of promoting the combined strength of the entire political system from the Government, ministries, branches, local authorities at all levels, and people who joined hands and unanimously overcame all difficulties, innovated ways of working to bring the project to the finish line on schedule.
Evaluating this special project, National Assembly Delegate Tran Van Lam - Standing Member of the Finance - Budget Committee of the National Assembly - said: "The project contributes to completing the national power grid infrastructure, while connecting power sources to regions in need.It is especially significant in transporting electricity from the surplus southern region to the rapidly developing industrial zones in the North, where there is a very high demand for electricity.And when necessary, it is possible to transmit electricity from the North to stabilize the national power grid system".
The 500kV line 3 completed in a short time with lightning-fast progress is a miracle of the unanimous and drastic participation of the entire political system, ministries, branches and localities where the line passes, saving both time, effort and money.
