In addition, a culvert collapsed and completely slid at one point on the above road section with a length of about 40m.
The inter-village road system in Thung, Theu, and Cao hamlets is eroded, with a risk of about 120m of road collapse.
"Currently, we are mobilizing machinery and trying to temporarily clear roads for people so that people can go buy necessities and children can go to school. But if the heavy rain situation continues, It's very possible that the commune government will have to consider a plan to temporarily build a wooden bridge across the road to serve the travel needs of more than 200 households in the Thung area" - Mr. Tuong said.
Also according to the report of Quy Hoa Commune People's Committee, heavy rain also caused flooding of rice and crops in Doi and Theu hamlets, with an area of more than 0.65 hectares of damage.
The flood swept away and killed 4 cows of a household in Doi hamlet, with an estimated loss of about 38 million VND. There is currently 1 buffalo estimated at about 15 million VND that no household has come to claim.
The power lines in Thung and Theu hamlets are at risk of collapsing transmission pole 35.
Floods and rains washed away the sand in Cao hamlet and buried about 70m of ditch, with a volume of soil and rock of about 20m 3 .
It is known that Thung and Kha hamlets, Quy Hoa commune, are part of a resort project complex with a scale of up to 2,000 hectares invested by Sun Group.
