The project to upgrade and expand Linh Nam road was approved for investment policy by the Hanoi People's Committee in 2013.
By August 2024, Hanoi City People's Committee has approved the adjustment of the implementation time of the Linh Nam road upgrade and expansion project according to the plan, to be completed in 2027.
The reason for the adjustment is due to difficulties and obstacles in site clearance, leading to the project not ensuring progress.
The project is about 3.4km long, starting point at Tam Trinh intersection, ending point at Nguyen Khoai dike intersection.
After the operation of the 2-level local government model (July 1, 2025), Hanoi City People's Committee assigned Vinh Hung Ward People's Committee to be the investor to implement the Linh Nam road upgrade and expansion project.
Up to now, the project has achieved many remarkable results. At package No. 01 - Construction and traffic assurance, the section from Nguyen Khoai dyke to Do Muoi road (Belt Road 3), about 200m long, has completed the roadbed, stone embankment, drainage system, crushed stone paving, adhesive asphalt irrigation, lower layer of road surface concrete paving, sidewalk paving, installing lighting poles, planting trees. Installing median strips of about 150/200m.
For package No. 07 (moving, undergrounding electrical and telecommunications systems), the contractor has fully prepared the main materials and equipment.
Section from Nguyen Khoai dyke to Do Muoi street (200m): Completion of temporary line connection laying, recovery of low-voltage power lines after Linh Nam 2 substation.
Long Thuyen market section (140m): Digging and casting foundations to temporarily move low tension at pile 144 Linh Nam 3 substation.
However, in Vinh Hung ward and 4 wards under the project, there are still many challenges, especially site clearance work when some households have not agreed on compensation and support plans.
At the same time, the prolonged cold and rainy days before Tet have interrupted construction. The project's workload is large, the road is long, and many technical items are complex, requiring synchronous coordination...
On February 23, the Standing Committee of Vinh Hung Ward Party Committee came to the project construction site to check the number of personnel, equipment, construction measures, and measures to ensure safety for workers and traffic participants.
At the construction site, the commanders of the construction units all committed to the progress and goal of completing on schedule and putting the road into use this year.
