According to the latest update from Vietnam National Railways Group, from the morning of September 18, the railway line through Thanh Hoa province has been fully cleared. On September 18, no more trains had to stop running due to the impact of rain and floods.
Previously, prolonged heavy rain caused some railway sections through Thanh Hoa to be flooded, forcing the Railway industry to adjust train schedules and organize passenger transfers at Bim Son and Thanh Hoa stations.
Accordingly, stop train SE19 with North - South route, train JSE17 with Hanoi - Da Nang route on September 17; stop train with North - South route SE20, JSE18 with Da Nang - Hanoi route on September 18; stop train NA1/2 with Hanoi - Vinh route and vice versa on September 17.

For trains that are still maintained, the Railway industry organizes passenger transport by road through flooded areas to ensure safety and maintain the journey.
On September 17, more than 250 passengers were transferred from Thanh Hoa - Bim Son due to the Do Len - Bim Son section being flooded.
