At 6:00 a.m. on January 1, 2025, Ms. Nguyen Thi Cuc (from Ba Vi, Hanoi) was present at the construction site of the Ring Road 4 parallel road project in the Capital region, passing through Dan Phuong district (Hanoi) to work with many other workers to pave the road surface.
Working on the first day of the new year 2025, Ms. Cuc said that not only herself but all the workers were full of enthusiasm, hoping to soon complete the set schedule.
Assigned to drive a roller to compact the hot asphalt concrete layer, Mr. Nguyen Van Sang (from Binh Dinh) said that on the first day of the new year, with the encouragement of the contractor, all workers worked enthusiastically, hoping to soon complete the Ring Road 4 parallel road project.
"Not being able to be with family on New Year's Day, we all encouraged each other to complete the project on schedule. Tonight, the workers will organize a small meal to welcome 2025," said Mr. Sang.
According to Lao Dong's records on the morning of January 1, at the Ring Road 4 project construction site, there was almost no moment of silence. Officers, engineers, and workers worked day and night, "3 shifts, 4 shifts" at the project site.
Speaking with Lao Dong, Mr. Hoang Trong Hai - Commander of construction team No. 1 (under package No. 9) said that the unit has mobilized many technical staff, engineers, and workers to work on the first day of the new year 2025.
"To ensure the progress committed to the investor, we encourage our workers to work through the New Year and will arrange compensatory days off for workers at the appropriate time," said Mr. Hai.
Up to now, construction team No. 1 is implementing the construction of K98 roadbed, crushed stone construction, and asphalt concrete paving - reaching 50% of the construction volume.
According to Mr. Hai, during the Lunar New Year, although there is no specific plan, everyone is willing to stay and work through Tet to complete the parallel road project in 2025.
Package No. 9 - construction of the parallel road of Ring Road 4 through Dan Phuong and Hoai Duc with a total length of more than 20km, constructed by contractor Vinaconex. This is the largest package of Ring Road 4 in the Capital region through Hanoi.
The package is divided into 3 construction teams, currently there are about 100 locomotives, equipment and 200 officers, engineers and workers mobilized by the contractor to construct project items. Up to now, package 9 has reached about 45% of the contract value.
Started in June 2023, the Ring Road 4 project in the Capital Region has a total length of 112.8km through Hanoi, Hung Yen and Bac Ninh, with a total investment of over VND 85,000 billion.
This is an important project that contributes to relieving traffic congestion, connecting provinces and cities, and at the same time creating new development space for the entire capital region.
In Hanoi, Ring Road 4 is more than 57km long, passing through Ha Dong, Soc Son, Me Linh, Dan Phuong, Hoai Duc, Thanh Oai and Thuong Tin districts.
After about 17 months since the commencement of the Ring Road 4 project, 4 construction packages in Hanoi have been simultaneously deployed on a route length of 48.35km with 32 construction points (23 road points, 9 bridge points).
Output to date has reached about VND 1,810 billion/VND 4,205 billion (43.04% of the contract value and 100% of the 2024 plan). Hanoi strives to complete the parallel road project in the fourth quarter of 2025.
