Component project 2.1 invests in the construction of a parallel road system (urban road) of Ring Road 4 through Hanoi with a total route length of about 58.2km.
The route passes through 7 districts including Soc Son, Me Linh, Dan Phuong, Hoai Duc, Ha Dong, Thanh Oai and Thuong Tin.
According to Lao Dong, the 23km long package No. 8, the construction of a parallel road through Soc Son and Me Linh districts, has taken shape after about 17 months of construction.
Mr. Nguyen Hoai Nam - Head of Technical Department, Construction Management Board of Ring Road 4 in the Capital Region, Truong Son Construction Corporation - said that package No. 8 has about 15km of parallel roads that have been paved with asphalt.
Currently, about 7km of the route is being constructed by the contractor with crushed stone.
Package No. 8 also undertakes the construction of 3 overpasses on the route, including the Ca Lo River overpass connecting Soc Son with Me Linh, the Hanoi - Lao Cai railway overpass and the Hau village bridge.
Among these, the railway overpass is the largest bridge built under package number 8. The project is nearly 590m long with 27 spans on both sides, the width of the bridge deck is 15m on each side.
Mr. Nguyen Hoai Nam said that for the area that is not affected by the site, the contractor has installed all the beams, poured the bridge deck and is constructing the railing item.
Currently, there are 4 remaining bridge piers and 8 remaining spans that cannot be constructed due to the obstruction of 220kV and 50kV power lines.
"According to the plan, the power lines will be relocated by the end of December. After the site is cleared, the contractor will construct the remaining 4 bridge piers and 8 spans. It is expected that the bridge will be closed by April. After that, the contractor will complete the remaining items within 2 months," said Mr. Nam.
The remaining two bridges in package 8, including Ca Lo bridge and Hau village bridge, are also being ensured by the contractor to ensure construction progress.
Regarding the progress of the entire package No. 8, Mr. Nam said that up to this point, the joint venture contractor has completed about 64% of the construction volume, ensuring progress compared to the plan.
In addition to the land being stuck at the construction site of the railway overpass, two residential areas in Dai Thinh and Chu Phan communes (Me Linh) have not yet had their land handed over to the project.
"With the sections that have cleared land, the joint venture contractor is committed to completing the construction of the Ring Road 4 parallel road project through Me Linh and Soc Son in June 2025," Mr. Nam affirmed.
