According to the Hai Duong Provincial Statistics Office, in 2024, units organized over 100 job fairs to provide job market information to workers, support labor resources for local businesses, and provide job counseling, vocational training, and labor law to nearly 25,000 workers.
Educational and vocational training institutions in the province also promote solutions to improve labor training index such as vocational education and training, training high-quality human resources to meet the recruitment and labor use needs of businesses and investors in the province.
According to the Provincial Statistics Office, Hai Duong is a province with an abundant labor force, mostly young workers, the rate of trained workers with certificates is estimated at 33.5%. Labor recruitment needs of enterprises in the province have increased since the beginning of 2024 and mainly focus on labor in the industrial and service sectors.
The reason is that the product consumption market has expanded and improved, the number of year-end orders at enterprises has increased, enterprises have accelerated production to serve consumer demand, so the demand for labor recruitment of enterprises has increased accordingly. The demand for recruitment is mainly concentrated in the fields of production, food processing, textiles, footwear, rubber and plastic, paper and paper products, electronics, machinery and equipment, etc.
In 2024, the relevant departments provided job counseling, vocational training counseling, and labor law counseling for 24,097 workers; introduced jobs to 6,484 people, and provided job counseling and referrals to 23,818 workers receiving unemployment benefits. Coordinated lending from the job creation support loan program for 8,289 workers.
Management and supervision of sending Vietnamese workers abroad in the province have been stepped up. In 2024, the number of Hai Duong workers working abroad under contracts was 8,837, reaching 196% of the annual plan target, focusing mainly on the markets of Taiwan (China), Japan and Korea. Hai Duong province has also continued to strengthen the management of foreign workers working in the province.
