According to the report assessing the results of implementing tasks in 2024, the directions, key tasks and solutions, and breakthroughs in implementing the socio-economic plan in 2025 of Hai Duong province, in 2024, the province achieved many important results, quite comprehensively surpassing and achieving 13/15 main targets set, of which 8 targets exceeded and 5 targets met the plan.
The scale of the province's gross regional domestic product (GRDP) reached 212,386 billion VND; The annual growth is estimated at over 10.2%, ranking 6th out of 63 provinces and cities, up 7 places compared to 2023. Total export turnover reached 10.3 billion USD, up 8.6%; imports reached 8.3 billion USD, up 10.4%.
State budget revenue increased by over 50% compared to the estimate. Total social development investment capital is estimated at 64,360 billion VND, up 12.1%. Foreign investment attraction reached 718.1 million USD; 2,000 new enterprises were established, up 6.2%. The disbursement rate of public investment capital as of December 31, 2024 reached 110.8% of the plan assigned by the Prime Minister.
Hai Duong province has focused on completing the Provincial Planning dossier, adjusting regional and general planning; labor and employment, ensuring social security have achieved positive results; people's lives continue to improve.
The Provincial People's Committee has also issued a detailed Economic Growth Scenario Plan (GRDP) for 2025 for each quarter with the target of total product value in the area (GRDP at comparable prices) in 2025, striving to reach 132,632 billion VND, an increase of 12% compared to 2024.
According to the Chairman of the Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee, this is the first time the province has developed a plan and economic growth scenario; a detailed public investment disbursement scenario for each month, each quarter, each region, each construction and project with many higher and more breakthrough goals and targets.
