Race to build houses, bring people to new places to live
Gia Lai opens "Quang Trung Campaign" at 16 projects, plans to arrange and stabilize residents in disaster-stricken areas, rapidly build houses, complete infrastructure, allocate land, pay support and relocate people to new safe places.
The province sets a target to complete 100% of the houses according to the 2026 plan, prioritizing households that have been allocated land, households in difficult circumstances and people in areas at high risk of natural disasters.
As of September 8, at the new residence, projects and plans have completed inventory and approved compensation, support, and site clearance plans for 533 households, reaching 100%, with a total cost of more than 122 billion VND.
At the old residence, 1,075 households have been counted, exceeding the plan; compensation plans for 452 households have been approved, with a total cost of more than 355 billion VND.
To date, 148.85ha of land has been handed over to the investor, reaching 99%. The remaining part of the project in Phu My Dong commune, 12.65ha has been handed over, and 1.5ha is not yet completed.
Regarding construction, projects in the east of the province reached 36-100%. Of which, Phu My Dong commune reached 36%; Tra Cong (An Hoa commune) phase 1 reached 100%, phase 2 reached 90%.
The resettlement areas (TĐC) in Phu My Bac, De Gi (Nui Ganh), Phu My Dong and An Hoa communes are basically completed, meeting the conditions for planting markers, subdividing plots, and allocating land.
In the western part of the province, the projects reached 55-96%, including Ia Tul communes 90%, Ia Hiao 90%, Ia Rsai 55%, Uar 80%, Dak Song 95% and Ia Dreh 96%. The resettlement areas have basically completed landmark planting and subdivision. The power system in Dak Song, Ia Dreh and Ia Hiao communes has been energized; Ia Tul, Ia Rsai and Uar are completing acceptance dossiers for energizing.
According to the relocation plan, land has been drawn and allocated to 554 households; 327 households have opened foundations to build houses. Of which, 133 houses have been completed under 50%, 43 houses have reached 50-70%, 108 houses have reached over 70% and 43 houses have been completed 100%. 40 households have been relocated to the resettlement area.
Urgently remove obstacles for people to relocate soon
According to the Provincial Department of Agriculture and Environment, compensation, support, and resettlement work at the old residences in Ia Hiao and Uar communes have not been completed and approved. The resettlement area of Ia Rsai commune sponsored by Son Hai Group is under construction slowly, affecting the progress of infrastructure completion.
In Ia Tul commune, some cases have complicated origins and time of land use, lack of papers or information between cadastral records and reality is not consistent, causing prolonged verification.
In Ia Hiao commune, many households live separately but live together, using the same land plot; land use right certificates are only in the name of an individual or a household and have not been separated.
To ensure progress, the Department of Agriculture and Environment requests the People's Committees of communes and wards to urgently complete the inventory, preparation, appraisal, and approval of compensation, support, and resettlement plans at the old residence. Ia Hiao and Uar communes should soon complete plans for the remaining households.
The Department also requested the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board to accelerate the completion of infrastructure for resettlement areas in Ia Hiao, Ia Tul, Ia Rsai, Ia Dreh and Uar communes, ensuring electricity, water, and transportation for people to build houses, relocate and stabilize their lives.
