Gia Lai - Prolonged rain for many days has caused landslides on people's coffee hills, affecting many assets and production areas.

A quick report from the People's Committee of Gao commune, Gia Lai province on the afternoon of September 8 said that in the period from September 1 to September 7, 2026, prolonged heavy rain occurred in the commune, causing localized flooding, landslides and damage to agricultural production.

Fortunately, the incidents did not cause any casualties, no households had to evacuate, and no houses were damaged.

Heavy rain caused flooding of the spillway in hamlet 5, temporarily cutting off traffic; some road sections in Plei Ograng were flooded about 20–40 cm deep.

Prolonged rain caused landslides of coffee hills, sweeping away thousands of cubic meters of soil; causing 36.2 hectares of rice to be affected and damaged; about 70 coffee trees, 50 durian trees were affected and 3 cows died.

Heavy rain also caused damage to 2 reservoirs, 5 pumps, 1 dug well; 2 people's bridges were swept away.

The forces have organized remediation and repair, basically ensuring traffic to serve the people. The Commune People's Committee has organized 24/24 hour duty and monitoring of the situation; mobilized local forces to inspect dangerous areas, install warning signs, guide traffic and organize the remediation of landslides and floods.
