The Gia Lai Provincial Border Guard Command has issued 3 telegrams, directing agencies and units to regularly monitor and update weather conditions at sea, proactively respond and prevent storms.
At the same time, notify ships operating at sea of the location, direction of movement and developments of the storm to proactively avoid and not move into dangerous areas.

As of 3:00 p.m. on August 24, the border guards have called on 626 ships/5,147 fishermen to anchor at storm shelters and 3,397 ships/23,104 fishermen to return to shore safely. There are currently 1,832 ships/12,824 fishermen operating outside the storm-affected area.
More than 100 cadres have been sent to the area to mobilize 1,251 households to proactively respond to storm No. 5. Regularly monitor and count ships operating at sea, coordinate with families to call on ships to take shelter.
The Provincial Military Command has directed units to be ready to fight, deploy a series of response measures, and ensure the safety of people's lives and property.

On August 24, the leaders of the Provincial Military Command directly inspected the response work at units, requested to review storages and warehouses and supplement enough provisions for food, medicine, fuel and essential materials to implement the "4 on-site" motto, serving storm prevention and search and rescue.
Previously, on the afternoon of August 23, Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan issued a telegram to coastal agencies, units and localities, requesting them to closely monitor warning information and developments of storm No. 5, and proactively deploy preventive measures.
The Chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee requested localities and units to prepare forces and means to deploy rescue work when situations arise; notify captains and owners of ships operating at sea to prevent, have appropriate production plans, ensure the safety of people and property; maintain communication to promptly handle incidents.
