The storm is forecast to move west-northwest at a speed of 20-25km/h, continuing to strengthen, reaching level 10-11, gusting to level 14; dangerous area from latitude 16.0N-20,0N; longitude 110.0E-118.0E.

Relevant departments are assigned to ensure traffic safety, irrigation dams, hydropower plants, industrial and agricultural production; Maritime Port Authority inspects the anchoring of cargo ships and transport ships; press and media agencies regularly update the storm situation so that people can promptly grasp.

Gia Lai issues urgent order, calling on 5 fishing vessels to escape the danger zone of storm No. 5
On August 23, Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan issued a telegram to coastal agencies, units and localities, requesting them to closely monitor warning information, developments and proactively respond to storm No. 5 (Kajiki).
The Chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee requested localities and units to prepare forces and means to deploy rescue work when situations arise; notify captains and owners of ships operating at sea to prevent, have appropriate production plans, ensure the safety of people and property; maintain communication to promptly handle incidents.
Quy Nhon Maritime Port Authority proactively plans to ensure safety for cargo ships when passing through the management waters. The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism informs owners of tourism vehicles and accommodation establishments (especially in Nhon Chau island commune) to monitor storm developments and adjust activity plans to ensure the safety of tourists.
On the same afternoon, the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Gia Lai province urgently called on fishing vessels in the danger zone of storm No. 5 to quickly find safe shelter. There are currently 5 fishing vessels in the province in the danger zone, including: BD-99023-TS, BD-98501-TS, BD-98511-TS, BD-98858-TS and BD-99097-TS.
The Department of Agriculture and Environment requests localities, the Provincial Military Command, and the Department of Fisheries to mobilize forces and means to call for and guide fishing vessels to escape the danger zone. In case the vehicle owner does not comply, enforcement measures will be applied to bring the ship to shore to anchor safely.
