On June 21, Gia Lai Provincial Department of Finance reported to the Provincial People's Committee on the contents related to the adjustment of entrance ticket prices at Eo Gio Tourist Area (Quy Nhon Dong ward).
Accordingly, through working with FLC Group Joint Stock Company, Star Hanoi Real Estate Joint Stock Company and related units, the Department of Finance proposed that the Provincial People's Committee request Star Hanoi Real Estate Joint Stock Company not to adjust the entrance ticket price to Eo Gio Tourist Area, and continue to apply the current price until the key investment items are completed and new products and services are put into operation.
The company must develop a price plan and adjustment roadmap suitable to the investment progress, ensuring the principle that service prices are commensurate with the quality of tourism products provided. Price increases should only be considered after investment items are completed, promote efficiency and create clear added value for tourists.
Before adjusting prices, businesses must publicize the price plan and implementation roadmap; notify local authorities, tourism associations, travel businesses and related units to create consensus in the implementation process, ensuring harmony of interests between businesses, people and tourists.
Continue to focus resources on completing the committed investment items; improve service quality, ensure safety, environmental sanitation, tourism landscape and service quality.
The Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee has agreed with the proposals of the Department of Finance, and at the same time assigned this department to coordinate with relevant units and localities to monitor and supervise the implementation of contents related to entrance ticket prices at Eo Gio Tourist Area.
Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee emphasized that the province identifies tourism as a key economic sector, focusing on building unique products, improving the quality of destinations and the image of friendly and hospitable localities. In which, it identifies the important role of the business community and commits to accompanying in the process of tourism development.
Therefore, it is proposed that Hanoi Star Real Estate Joint Stock Company develop a price plan and roadmap to adjust entrance tickets in accordance with the investment progress, service quality and tourism products provided; ensuring a price level suitable for service quality, harmonizing interests between businesses, people and tourists.
Before adjusting prices, it is necessary to publicize the price plan and adjustment roadmap; notify and exchange with local authorities, relevant organizations and units to create consensus in the implementation process.

As Lao Dong Newspaper has reported, on June 15, Hanoi Star Real Estate Joint Stock Company announced the adjustment of Eo Gio entrance ticket prices from 22,000 VND/trip to 50,000 VND/trip, an increase of more than 127%.
However, Quy Nhon Dong Ward People's Committee found that this unit has only received management and exploitation of Eo Gio Tourist Area for a short time and has not significantly implemented investment items in technical infrastructure, landscape, works serving tourists or supplementing new tourism products and services.
Activities at Eo Gio Tourist Area are currently basically maintained as in the period when the locality directly managed it before, mainly selling sightseeing tickets, and there are no additional services commensurate with the expected ticket price adjustment.
