Up to now, there has been no conclusion on the cause of the buffalo and cow deaths. The buffalo and cow carcasses have been destroyed to ensure the environment," Mr. Vi shared.
According to Mr. Vi, among the 6 livestock that died, there were 4 buffaloes, 1 calf and 1 cow. All of these livestock were found dead in the Voi stream area for more than a few weeks now.
Mr. Nguyen Van Hoi (resident of Thuong Kim village), a household with 2 buffaloes dead in the forest, said that the dead buffaloes showed signs of bloating. After discovering it, the family reported it to the police.
It is known that many households in Son Kim 2 commune for decades have had a habit of grazing buffaloes and cows in the forest, and only occasionally come to check and count their livestock.
